Bentley Global Arts Group is founded on the concept of offering a higher quality fine art product than is commonly found in offset lithographs sold by the majority of all major art publishers. From our inks to our papers to image resolution, quality is paramount.
Fine Art Giclee
A giclee (pronounced zhee-CLAY, a French term meaning "spray of ink") is a high-resolution, high-quality reproduction individually printed on a special large format printer. These beautiful digital reproductions are virtually unparalleled in quality and range of color, and are at the leading edge of fine art printmaking.
Every item we offer is available printed on large format printers using a state-of-the-art inkset. Our archival 12 color pigment inkset provides the largest color gamut of any commercial ink ever developed. In addition, this ink has a color permanence rating in excess of 100 years (when properly cared for, and displayed in acceptable lighting).
Note: Without a special request and premium pricing small format items (12 x 18 in. and smaller) will be printed on a 4-color digital press.
All paper media types are premium fine art grade substrates. Our standard digital prints (items with an item number prefix of "DP") that are 12 x 18 in. and smaller are printed on a 4-color digital press and output on a semi-matte acid-free 80lb cover stock. All digital prints larger than 12 x 18 in. are published on archival premium matte paper. This bright white 235 GSM substrate has an incredibly stable and wide gamut. Our giclée prints (items with an item number prefix of "GP") are published on 100% acid free archival cotton rag paper. This bright white sheet has a subtle watercolor texture and a paper weight of 290 GSM. All items are printed with a suitable border surrounding the image. Custom volume orders are available, in which the buyer can choose from different fine art papers that are
available, as well as customizing image sizes.
Our canvas product is printed on high quality artist grade canvas. This 350 gsm, acid-free, archival canvas has a tight, natural weave which maximizes image quality, while also revealing the texture of an artists canvas.
These are NOT canvas transfers. They are giclee-on-canvas, in which the image is actually printed on the canvas surface. We do not offer a brushstroking service on these items.
Most titles offered are available on canvas and can be ordered rolled or stretched.
Important Note: Do allow for a possible deviation from the base size on all rolled canvas items. Due to environmental changes and the fact that we do seal all printed canvas with a liquid top-coat our rolled canvasas may deviate from the exact size as listed by up to 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch. The larger the item the more chance for a deviation. This difference us usually easily remedied during the stretching process.
We also offer all canvas items as stretched, ready-to-hang items. All are museum stretched, with a choice of colors sides and staples on the back.
Our stretched canvases are available with 3/4 in. or 1 1/2 in. stretcher bars.
